Texas air conditioning supplier sued for alleged fraud over prices

A Texas air conditioner supplier has filed a federal lawsuit against the company that it says inflated the price of air conditioning.

The company says in the lawsuit filed in San Antonio federal Judge John P. Otero says the company failed to disclose the quality of its air conditioning products, and then failed to keep its inventory up to date.

The complaint alleges that air conditioners manufactured by AECOM, based in Irving, Texas, were sold at prices that were substantially higher than the manufacturer’s price.AECOM has said the air conditioning system does not work when it is cold.

The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages for violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act and federal labor laws.
